From the 25th of June to the 4th of August 2012 Palazzo bembo hosts the creations from the Beyeler Collection Basel. Exhibited works will be from Viacheslav Kalinin, Dmitry Tugarinoff, Dmitry Sandjiev, Alex Doll, Jan
Janczak, Joseph Beuret and Paula Beyeler.
The exhibition opens with a room dedicated to the artist Viatcheslav Kalinin, whose first loves were the work of Picasso, Kandinsky and the German expressionists and other artists of the early 20th century, from which he draws much inspiration. The two other rooms are equipped with all the works of Dmitry Sandjiev, whose graphic work is closely tied to the history of Kalmikia (his native region) and is developed through the use of pencil and graphite as a means to express movement and depth to become one with nature. Followed by a space dedicated to the collection of Swiss artists: Joseph and Paula Beuret Beyeler. The latter, through his paintings, expresses authenticity without equal, a fantastic creative ability and evocative full of vitality. Then there are the paintings of Alex Doll, a young Russian artist, who began showing in 2009 and the following year he obtained his first solo. At the end of the trail are the artist Jan Janczak. His works, through compositions and bright colors, are presented as hymns to femininity, reducing to the essential scenes side that could distract the visitor's gaze.
