Gianni Berengo Gardin presents a preview of his latest book 'Inediti (o quasi)' at Ikona Gallery. A volume that collects 87 of the most amazing and unreleased gems of Berengo Gardin. Never-before-seen photographs and other little known collection, all reveal, from first to last, the brilliant touch of the great craftsman, the wisdom of observant storyteller who always manages to surprise and impress with the force of his gaze.
In long photographic storytelling that Gianni Berengo Gardin has built with determination and passion over the past fifty years, many images are left behind, buried under other more famous or more quickly celebrated; forget or simply not viewed with due importance. Many have remained unpublished. Or at least, almost unheard.
The work is enriched by a precious section dedicated to privacy in which the teacher in an interview with Alessandra Mauro comments images that depict him with other photographers, and tells anecdotes and experiences shared with friends and colleagues, real companions.
With a memorandum of Cesare Zavattini and a text of Ferdinando Scianna.
Speaker: the author and Prof. Italo Zannier.
