Restaura. Context and opportunity. Venice represents an ideal and prominent showcase for presenting excellence in the conservation of the great Italian legacy and international heritage of cultural patrimony. Italy, always in the forefront of renovation, restoration, conservation, and valorisation, is internationally renowned also for its excellence in the field of research and application of specialised craftsmanship. The 6th edition of Restaura aims at confirming its role as a customary appointment for dynamic operators in Italy and abroad who are part of the system of activities connected to the conservation, restoration and valorisation of cultural heritage.
The protagonists. Institutions, enterprises, professionals, and training facilities: from the public and private sectors, along with an ample group of operators in the sector meet annually in Venice to update and propose their latest novelties to an attentive and interested group of patrons. Restaura presents itself with an array of services and opportunities dedicated to the B2B through thematic workshops, conferences, exhibits, open discussions, meetings and the presentation of innovative projects to bring specialised professions in closer to dedicated technologies. Restaura is a veritable “forum for people working in restoration” in which Italian enterprises, aiming towards international circuits, have the opportunity to meet representatives of European and extra-European companies that take part in the Exhibition’s meetings.
Themes and topics. Conservation superintendency, schools and centres for restoration, Universities, decorators, professional studios, builders, technical-scientific researchers all meet to discuss diagnostics, materials, cataloguing, monitoring, climate-control, security, recovery, insulation, decorations, restoration for energy conservation and environmental sustainability, nanotechnology, building protection, waterproofing, chromatic reading, and other guide-lines that emerge from a context in which traditional elements and innovation blend together to give life to new professional incentives.
bbcc expo. A renewed appointment. At the same time as the Restaura meeting, the bbcc EXPO – the 14th Exhibition on the Cultural Heritage and Cultural Activities – will take place. Dedicated to cultural heritage and activities and all that revolves around them, the Exhibition proposes an array of important occasions to encounter the different critical themes in the sector. A series of connections between cultural heritage and the territory that are presented in programs within the Area Festival, involving exemplary cases in the field of valorisation and promotion of cultural patrimony, as signalled by the Premio alla Comunicazion [Communications Awards]. The most advanced experiences in territorial marketing and an analysis of the relationship between historic-artistic capital and the tourism sector are also to be presented at the 11th Stock Exchange of Cultural Tourism. The Exhibition ultimately represents an open showcase of the latest in proposed innovations and challenges in the world of promoting cultural heritage and events.
